FAQs

Can you teach across a range of ages?

Yes, all of my workshops are visually stimulating and very practical.

Every topic can be taught at both KS1 and KS2, I adapt my teaching and use of artefacts to engage any age range or ability.

I have over 25 years experience working with children aged from Nursery to Year 6.

How much does it cost?

Quotations are based upon the number of children and how much time they spend with me. It is calculated on the basis of £6.50 per child for a full day with me, plus travel.

A minimum fee does apply, and there is a reduction for Days involving two or more classes, with a price ceiling for larger schools.

Travel is charged based on mileage using your school postcode from York.

I'm pleased to say that feedback tells me that the Days provide excellent value for money.

Please feel free to contact me for a no obligation quote and further information.

Can I book half a day?

Yes, you can book for just half a day. A minimum charge does apply.

All KS1 workshops involve working with one class at a time and are for either a morning or afternoon.

All KS2 workshops can involve up to three classes together - provided the use of a hall or similar space is available please. Some time will be spent in class size rotations of activities.

When booking your workshop I will help you explore all your various options. For example a full day can also be constructed from two half-day presentations e.g. Romans in the morning, Vikings in the afternoon.

Are you DBS checked?

Yes I am registered online for the most up-to-date DBS information for you to access.

I am fully insured and risk assessed.

How far will you travel?

I am prepared to travel, with an adjustment to start time if you are much more than an hour away from York.

I ask that I have a secure parking space please for my vehicle and ramp access to unload into a ground floor hall or classroom, as many of the resources require a trolley to transport.
