Knights and Castles Morning, Tickhill St. Mary's

Our Year Four children thoroughly enjoyed your visit today. The range of artefacts that you brought was fantastic. It was great to see the children getting to handle the artefacts and hear them make suggestions about what they could be. The children all said that they really enjoyed this activity and we felt it really drew them into the day. The two Roman games were also very enjoyable and great for seeing the children developing their strategies for winning! The writing activity will be a lovely reminder of the day. Your style was very warm and friendly which the children all responded very well to. Thank you for your flexibility with the timings and running order of the day. The Florence Nightingale workshop was absolutely fantastic: the children were entranced from start to finish! They enjoyed all of the activities particularly bandaging each other's "wounds"! The parents also learned a lot about Florence Nightingale because of everything the children told them when they got home! As always, an invaluable learning experience delivered by Catherine.

What an amazing workshop, all the children engaged, experiencing new learning through well thought out artefacts, knowledge and activities that Catherine brings to life. The children absolutely loved it and immediately asked 'when is Catherine coming again?' These workshops provide an opportunity for the children to get hands on and access a historical expert allowing for a very exciting learning experience.

Catherine from 'History to Life! has been to our school three times in the past two years for a Viking, Egyptian and World War II day. Each time the children have been able to access real and replica artefacts, had a well structured day with meaningful and differentiated activities and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It removes the hassle of travelling but the children still have pleasure of a hands on and interactive experience.
Stone Age to Iron Age Day, Grewelthorpe Primary
Catherine has been to our school several times over the years and we always have a brilliant time. The children are engaged throughout the day, with a variety of activities and come away with a vast amount of knowledge. We're able to use this experience throughout our topic by building on it and relating back to what we learnt during Catherine's workshop. We always thoroughly enjoy the day and come away feeling immersed in history.

enthused our pupils for our Roman unit of work. All the children were
highly engaged throughout the day ( there was just the right balance of
